Armelle and Peter of Norway Outdoors are experts in their field. They have been guiding groups for nature and wilderness trips in Norway and instructing open canoe for more than 11 years.
I’ll never forget sitting at a campfire during sunset watching the mountains covered in clouds across the lake. Those mountaintops rarely show themselves and like to keep you guessing on how they look. The day after we crossed a lake in a canoe with nothing more than the sound of the paddles going through the water and the sounds of birds in the distance.
Peter and Armelle made sure we were able to find the best berries and mushrooms and even showed us how to make a fire without a match. During the campfire, we learned about the legends from the region and the trolls who live in the area. The first night of our stay Peter explained how we could see when the northern light begins to form. That night, we were able to see and photograph the Northern lights for the first time in our lives. Safe to say we learned a lot during our stay.
We are definitely thinking about going back for a canoe trip because it’s the best way to experience the region and they are both such pleasant people to spend time with.
We made a short movie about them. Drone shots are made by Stijn from stereographic.aero.
